Ich übernehme die Verantwortung für den sicheren Betrieb und die stetige Weiterentwicklung der Linux-Umgebungen bei 50Hertz.
Das macht den Job für mich interessant: 50Hertz bringt die Integration erneuerbarer Energien voran. Der umfangreiche Netzausbau kann nicht ohne die Bereitstellung von IT-Infrastruktur und Netzwerken realisiert werden. Als Teil eines internationalen IT-Infrastruktur-Teams kann ich dazu einen wesentlichen Beitrag leisten. Dabei kann ich maßgebliche Akzente setzen. Als gefragte Ansprechpartner*in setze ich mich außerdem für einen Wissenstransfer im Kontext der Linux-Technologien ein.
Meine Aufgaben:
- Sicherstellung des stabilen Betriebs der Linux-Plattformen einschließlich Wartung, Patch- und Lifecycle-Management,
- Überwachung von Verfügbarkeit, Performance und Kapazität der Linux-Umgebungen,
- Analyse, Priorisierung und nachhaltige Behebung von Incidents, Problemen und Betriebsstörungen sowie Identifikation von Schwachstellen und Engpässen zur kontinuierlichen Verbesserung der Plattformstabilität,
- Unterstützung bei der Umsetzung von Plattformstandards sowie Security- und Compliance-Vorgaben,
- Umsetzung und Bearbeitung von Standard Service Requests,
- Planung, Koordination und Umsetzung von Changes, Migrationen, Rollouts und Infrastrukturprojekten gemäß etablierten Betriebs- und Change-Management-Prozessen,
- Zusammenarbeit mit Herstellern, Dienstleistern und internen Fachbereichen zur Sicherstellung eines stabilen Betriebs,
- Weiterentwicklung und Umsetzung von Automatisierungs-, GitOps- und Infrastructure-as-Code-Ansätzen durch den Einsatz von Ansible, Bash und weiteren Werkzeugen zur Steigerung von Effizienz, Qualität und Standardisierung,
- Erstellung und Pflege technischer Dokumentationen und Betriebsanweisungen,
- Teilnahme am Bereitschaftsdienst (24/7) für die Linux-Plattformen,
Meine Kompetenzen:
- Abgeschlossenes Studium oder Berufsausbildung im Bereich Informatik oder einer vergleichbaren Fachrichtung,
- Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Administration und dem Betrieb von Enterprise-Linux-Umgebungen, idealerweise auf Basis von Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), einschließlich zugehöriger Management-Plattformen wie Red Hat Satellite,
- Fundierte Kenntnisse im Betrieb virtualisierter Infrastrukturen sowie im Monitoring, Performance- und Kapazitätsmanagement,
- Kenntnisse in den Bereichen IT-Sicherheit, Hochverfügbarkeit und Disaster Recovery,
- Praxiserfahrung mit Automatisierungswerkzeugen wie Ansible, Bash und Git-basierten Betriebsmodellen,
- Grundlegendes Verständnis moderner Betriebsansätze wie GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) und DevOps,
- Exzellente Problemlösungsfähigkeiten mit der Fähigkeit, komplexe technische Probleme zu beheben und zu lösen,
- Selbstständige und proaktive Arbeitsweise,
- Sprachkenntnisse: Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse (B2/C1) und gute Englischkenntnisse (B1).
Kein Muss, aber von Vorteil:
- Einschlägige Zertifizierungen wie der Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), die Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) oder der Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA),
- Umfangreiche GitOps-Erfahrungen im On-Prem-Umfeld.

As one of the four transmission grid operators in Germany, 50Hertz is responsible for high-voltage power transmission; control at this level is decisive for the stability of the grid and to ensure a secure electricity supply in Germany and Europe. We are part of a European grid association, working closely with colleagues throughout Europe. 50Hertz is part of a European company, working alongside Belgian grid operator Elia in the Elia Group. We work together closely in many key areas. Individual activities such as IT or purchasing are organised at the group level, which means that in these areas colleagues from Elia and 50Hertz work in a team from both Berlin and Brussels.
