I am responsible for the IT service management in the Elia Group and drive continuous improvements. I am an important contact for stakeholders from business and IT.

Our IT division operates across the Group for both companies in Germany and Belgium, driving digital transformation both within the Group and across the energy sector by providing customized solutions. As a specialist in IT service management and IT governance, I maintain an overview of this international and highly dynamic organization and am actively involved in the implementation of the group-wide IT strategy.
My tasks:
- Service Management:
- Develop or mature, implement, and maintain IT service management (ITSM) guidelines, processes and procedures based on ITIL best practices,
- Develop and monitor Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs),
- Service Improvement:
- Monitor and report on service delivery performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs),
- Collaborate with other IT and business teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT service delivery,
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all ITSM processes, procedures, and service records,
- Provide regular reports on service performance, incidents, and improvement initiatives to senior management,
- IT Governance
- Mature IT governance framework and implement changes, while ensuring the framework is comprehensive and aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives,
- Establish policies, procedures, and standards for IT governance.
My profile:
- Degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable,
- Professional experience in the ITIL environment and in complex IT service management structures as a consultant/advisor/project manager or in a technical role,
- Sound knowledge of IT service management and project management,
- ITIL4 certification (ideally Foundation or higher),
- Strong communication skills and excellent stakeholder management (ideally also at C-level) combined with Expertise in training and coaching stakeholders,
- Experience of working in international teams,
- Languages: Good knowledge of German and English (C1).

- Experience in the utilities / energy sector would be a plus.

As one of the four transmission grid operators in Germany, 50Hertz is responsible for high-voltage power transmission; control at this level is decisive for the stability of the grid and to ensure a secure electricity supply in Germany and Europe. We are part of a European grid association, working closely with colleagues throughout Europe. 50Hertz is part of a European company, working alongside Belgian grid operator Elia in the Elia Group. We work together closely in many key areas. Individual activities such as IT or purchasing are organised at the group level, which means that in these areas colleagues from Elia and 50Hertz work in a team from both Berlin and Brussels.
