What makes this job interesting for me: At 50Hertz, I work as an SAP HR Consultant in a dedicated HR+ product team, driving forward the development of a state-of-the-art SAP HR landscape and, together with Elia, shaping the HR systems of a European transmission system operator — with a direct contribution to the energy transition.
My responsibilities:
- Technical responsibility for SAP HCM (PA, OM) in an S/4HANA environment,
- Translating business requirements into technical and functional specifications and advising product teams on appropriate technical solutions,
- Customizing and technical implementation of new HR solutions,
- End to end support of implementations (analysis, design, testing, go live),
- Further development of Fiori apps (standard and custom),
- Design, operation and maintenance of interfaces to SAP and non SAP systems, including SuccessFactors,
- Preparation and facilitation of workshops with HR and IT stakeholders,
- Second level support and system monitoring, as well as maintenance of technical documentation.
My qualifications:
- Completed degree in (business) informatics, business administration or a comparable qualification,
- Several years of experience as an SAP Consultant (HCM PA & OM) or in a similar role within the SAP environment,
- Very strong technical understanding of SAP HCM, including code reading and debugging,
- Experience with S/4HANA and Fiori first architectures,
- Agile mindset and experience working in product oriented environments,
- Very good German (C1) and English (C1) language skills.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Payroll (PY) and Time Management (PT),
- Experience with SuccessFactors (e.g. EC, Recruiting, Onboarding, Learning),
- Experience with SAP to SAP and SAP to cloud integrations,
- Experience with SAP Public and/or Private Cloud,
- Willingness to travel occasionally for business trips, e.g. to Belgium.

As one of the four transmission grid operators in Germany, 50Hertz is responsible for high-voltage power transmission; control at this level is decisive for the stability of the grid and to ensure a secure electricity supply in Germany and Europe. We are part of a European grid association, working closely with colleagues throughout Europe. 50Hertz is part of a European company, working alongside Belgian grid operator Elia in the Elia Group. We work together closely in many key areas. Individual activities such as IT or purchasing are organised at the group level, which means that in these areas colleagues from Elia and 50Hertz work in a team from both Berlin and Brussels.
