Hier übernehme ich eine zentrale Rolle in Weiterentwicklung und Betrieb der Java Anwendungen von 50Hertz.
Das macht diesen Job für mich interessant: Als Java-Spezialist*in bin ich Teil einer unternehmensweiten Taskforce bei 50Hertz. In dieser Rolle arbeite ich an der Smart Energy Plattform – einer übergreifenden Plattform von 50Hertz zur Erfassung und Verarbeitung von Smartmeter-Daten. Ich entwickle moderne, skalierbare Software und übernehme gleichzeitig Verantwortung für stabile, sichere und zuverlässig betreibbare IT-Services, die einen zentralen Beitrag zur Systemsicherheit im deutschen Stromnetz leisten.
Meine Aufgaben:
- Entwicklung und Weiterentwicklung von Softwarekomponenten und -modulen innerhalb der definierten technologischen Rahmenbedingungen und Bereitstellung von Updates zur Umsetzung fachlicher Anforderungen,
- Mitarbeit entlang des gesamten Service Lifecycles (Design, Build, Run),
- Vorbereitung, Mitgestaltung und Begleitung von Architekturentscheidungen und -optimierungen,
- Sicherstellung eines stabilen und zuverlässigen Betriebs der Anwendungen und kontinuierliche Verbesserung der Betriebsprozesse, insbesondere durch Ausbau und Optimierung von Monitoring-Lösungen,
- Analyse, Behebung und nachhaltige Vermeidung von Produktions- und Stabilitätsproblemen,
- Sicherstellung von Codequalität, Security, Dokumentation und Best Practices im gesamten Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC),
- Weiterentwicklung von Deployment-Pipelines (z. B. Azure DevOps),
- Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Fachbereich, Betrieb, Architektur, Service Ownern und weiteren Stakeholdern.
Meine Kompetenzen:
- Abgeschlossenes Studium der Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation,
- Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der professionellen Softwareentwicklung mit Java sowie modernen Frameworks (z. B. Spring Boot oder vergleichbar),
- Fundierte Erfahrung in der Entwicklung von verteilten Systemen und Microservices,
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse in Software-Design-Patterns, API-zentrierten Architekturen sowie hochverfügbaren und skalierbaren Systemlandschaften,
- Erfahrung mit modernen Technologien wie Kubernetes, Docker sowie Kafka und/oder Spark/Flink,
- Praxis in der Entwicklung im Cloud-nativen Umfeld (z. B. OpenShift, Azure),
- Kenntnisse moderner Entwicklungs- und Betriebspraktiken wie: CI/CD, Versionierung, automatisierte Tests, Clean Code, DevOps / SRE / Application Support,
- Verständnis von serviceorientierten Architekturen und modernen Betriebsmodellen,
- Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse (mind. C1) sowie gute Deutschkenntnisse (mind. B2–C1).
Kein Muss, aber von Vorteil:
- Kenntnisse in energiewirtschaftlichen Prozessen (z. B. Abrechnung von Smart Meter-Daten),
- Erfahrungen mit regulatorisch geprägten IT-Systemen,
- Erfahrung mit agilen Methoden (Scrum, Kanban).

As one of the four transmission grid operators in Germany, 50Hertz is responsible for high-voltage power transmission; control at this level is decisive for the stability of the grid and to ensure a secure electricity supply in Germany and Europe. We are part of a European grid association, working closely with colleagues throughout Europe. 50Hertz is part of a European company, working alongside Belgian grid operator Elia in the Elia Group. We work together closely in many key areas. Individual activities such as IT or purchasing are organised at the group level, which means that in these areas colleagues from Elia and 50Hertz work in a team from both Berlin and Brussels.
