What kind of work will I do?
50Hertz is active in the energy market and is committed to its development. People with a wide range of specialist skills are based in Berlin and work in energy markets:
Customer management / grid charging: Collaboration with market partners in various roles within the energy market, as well as continuous optimisation of the associated business and charging processes (per the requirements issued by the German Federal Network Agency); Energy data and measurement data management for the 50Hertz grid territory; Contract management for major grid customers
Energy market economics: Energy market research; Working on proposals for the future structure of the future electricity market; Developing procedures to analyse and forecast the control, development, and structuring of services provided within the system.
Front office: Energy trading on the stock exchange (24 hours a day) and conducting regulatory energy auctions.
What skills should I already have?
Most of the people working here have studied one of the following subjects: Electronic engineering, business engineering, economics, business administration, energy economics, renewable energies, (business) informatics, etc.
