I develop and operate data integration solutions for the digital energy transition at 50Hertz.

I work closely with specialists from various departments, share best practices, and continuously develop my skills - both professionally and technically.
My Responsibilities
- Develop secure microservices for processing real-time data and time series using Java and Kafka,
- Design APIs and data models for high-performance interfaces and structured communication,
- Provide technical mentoring and guidance to developers in agile product teams,
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration between teams (e.g., product team and Data Chapter),
- Document code and processes to ensure quality and traceability.
My Qualifications
- Degree in (Business) Informatics, Mathematics, or equivalent qualification,
- Several years of experience in Java development, including event streaming with Kafka and stream processing,
- Solid knowledge of microservices, distributed architectures, and IT security (e.g., BSI standards),
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, CI/CD, REST/SOAP, and message-based communication,
- Proven experience in technical leadership and mentoring of developer teams in agile environments,
- Strong communication skills and team spirit for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams,
- Excellent German and English skills (C1 level).

As one of the four transmission grid operators in Germany, 50Hertz is responsible for high-voltage power transmission; control at this level is decisive for the stability of the grid and to ensure a secure electricity supply in Germany and Europe. We are part of a European grid association, working closely with colleagues throughout Europe. 50Hertz is part of a European company, working alongside Belgian grid operator Elia in the Elia Group. We work together closely in many key areas. Individual activities such as IT or purchasing are organised at the group level, which means that in these areas colleagues from Elia and 50Hertz work in a team from both Berlin and Brussels.
