Deine Aufgaben – Ein Blick in die Praxis
Im Rahmen Deiner Ausbildung lernst und trägst Du je nach Einsatzbereich dazu bei, …
- die Lerninhalte dort anzuwenden, wo die Energiewende umgesetzt und die Stromversorgung für 18 Mio. Menschen rund um die Uhr sichergestellt wird,
in Projekten mitzuarbeiten, z. B. Durchführung und Weiterentwicklungen unserer Instandhaltung, - die Planungen in entsprechender Qualität umzusetzen,
- Funktionstests durchzuführen und Technik in Betrieb zu nehmen,
- die Aufgaben zeit- und qualitätsgerecht auszuführen,
- die Ursachen bei technischen Fehlfunktionen zu ermitteln.
Deine Grundausbildung absolvierst Du bei unserem Kooperationspartner bze – Bildungszentrum Energie GmbH am Standort Chemnitz. Dort lernst Du alles über die Installation und Instandhaltung von elektrischen Anlagen sowie von Mess-, Steuer und Regelungstechnik, um anschließend bei 50Hertz die Funktionsweise unserer Schalt- und Steueranlagen, Umspannwerke und Leitungen zu verstehen. Deine Prüfung legst du – wie üblich – vor der IHK ab.
Dein Profil
- (bevorstehender) Schulabschluss mit guten bis sehr guten Noten,
- Interesse an der Energiewende und elektrotechnischen Themen,
- Motivation, Neues zu lernen und Verantwortung für erste eigene Projekte zu übernehmen,
- Pflichtbewusstsein, strukturierte Herangehensweise und Eigeninitiative,
- Handwerkliches Geschick und gutes technisches Grundverständnis,
- Teamfähigkeit, Durchhaltevermögen und Sorgfalt,
- Bereitschaft zur Arbeit im Freien sowie die Bereitschaft, mobil durch unser Netzgebiet zu reisen,
- Gute bis sehr gute Kenntnisse der deutschen Sprache in Wort und Schrift (C1).

A job with a future
As one of the four transmission grid operators in Germany, 50Hertz is responsible for high-voltage power transmission; control at this level is decisive for the stability of the grid and to ensure a secure electricity supply in Germany and Europe. We are part of a European grid association, working closely with colleagues throughout Europe. 50Hertz is part of a European company, working alongside Belgian grid operator Elia in the Elia Group. We work together closely in many key areas. Individual activities such as IT or purchasing are organised at the group level, which means that in these areas colleagues from Elia and 50Hertz work in a team from both Berlin and Brussels.

I particularly like the fact that we are given responsibility at an early stage – this promotes our own development and makes the apprenticeship particularly exciting for me.
What I particularly appreciate about 50Hertz is the opportunity to get to know numerous different departments and thus gain a comprehensive insight into the company. Even during my first year, I was given a lot of trust and responsibility. I also had the opportunity to work with great teams and experience joint activities such as team events, workshops and summer parties. This promotes cohesion and makes working at 50Hertz particularly attractive for me.
At 50Hertz, I am completing my training in an exciting and future-oriented environment. At the moment we are in the joint training, which gives me the opportunity to gain new experience and deepen my knowledge outside of 50Hertz. I find it particularly nice that I notice how well the training at 50Hertz prepares me for different tasks and how exciting it is to be involved in the future of energy.
