We are 50Hertz - one of the four transmission system operators (TSOs) in Germany. Together with the Belgian electricity grid operator Elia (Brussels), we form the internationally active Elia Group. At 50Hertz, more than 1,600 people work to ensure that electricity flows reliably at all times, with low losses and optimised control over long distances. As a TSO, we play a key moderating role in the realisation of the energy transition from a social, technical and economic perspective. Our goal: to safely integrate 100 per cent renewable energy into the grid and system by 2032.

Deine Aufgaben:
- Du entwickelst Excel basierte Tools zur Unterstützung unserer Arbeitsabläufe in der Planung und Realisierung von Freileitungen,
- Du unterstützt unsere Ingenieur*innen bei der Erarbeitung von technischen Vorgaben und Konzepten für Freileitungsprojekte,
- Du hast ein Auge fürs Detail und wirkst bei der Qualitätssicherung von Asset-Komponenten (beispielsweise Leiterseile, Isolatoren und Armaturen) mit, um unsere Freileitungsbaustellen optimal vorzubereiten.
Wir stellen uns vor, dass du...
- Dein fortgeschrittenes Bachelor- oder Master Studium in einer Ingenieurwissenschaft engagiert verfolgst,
- Dich durch Organisationstalent, Teamorientierung, eine selbständige und strukturierte Arbeitsweise, eine gewisse Zahlenaffinität, sowie Kommunikationsfähigkeit auszeichnest,
- Die gängigen MS-Office-Programme (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) sehr gut beherrschst und VBA- Programmierung in deiner Komfortzone liegt,
- Sehr gute Deutsch- (C1) und gute Englischkenntnisse (B2) in Wort und Schrift aufweist.
Vorkenntnisse in Python und anderen Programmiersprachen sind kein Muss, machen Deine Bewerbung aber zusätzlich interessant für uns.

Towards a successful energy transition in a sustainable world
As one of the four transmission grid operators in Germany, 50Hertz is responsible for high-voltage power transmission; control at this level is decisive for the stability of the grid and to ensure a secure electricity supply in Germany and Europe. We are part of a European grid association, working closely with colleagues throughout Europe. 50Hertz is part of a European company, working alongside Belgian grid operator Elia in the Elia Group. We work together closely in many key areas. Individual activities such as IT or purchasing are organised at the group level, which means that in these areas colleagues from Elia and 50Hertz work in a team from both Berlin and Brussels.

Typical areas of work for construction engineers at 50Hertz
Asset Management: This involves developing the principles and guidelines required to handle the construction-related challenges that arise throughout the organisation.
Projects, cables, substations, and offshore: These divisions carry out all renovation and new build projects in our main areas of construction such as overhead power lines and cable traverses, substations, and switchgear, as well as offshore construction.
Grid operation: Here the status of our installations and structures is monitored, necessary actions are identified, and maintenance projects are initiated and implemented.
