Participate in "The Nest" (our in-house incubator) and shape the future by implementing innovative digital ideas for a climate-neutral energy ecosystem.
Your tasks:
- You actively support in all phases of product development: ideation, software development, testing and operations,
- You work closely with different product and business teams,
- You contribute to understanding modern and innovative technologies as well as business processes within the area of energy transmission,
- You are interested in managing projects in an agile manner and taking on smaller projects independently,
- You are motivated to actively participate in software development projects.
We imagine that you...
- You are committed to pursuing your advanced Bachelor's or Master's degree with a focus on computer science,
- You bring fundamental experience in frontend development (using TypeScript),
- You are characterized by team orientation, an independent and structured way of working, a certain affinity for code quality and communication skills,
- You are proficient in the common MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
- You have a very good knowledge of English (C1) and ideally also understand German (B2).
Initial knowledge of backend programming in .NET, Java or Python is not a must, but it makes your application even more interesting for us.

As one of the four transmission grid operators in Germany, 50Hertz is responsible for high-voltage power transmission; control at this level is decisive for the stability of the grid and to ensure a secure electricity supply in Germany and Europe. We are part of a European grid association, working closely with colleagues throughout Europe. 50Hertz is part of a European company, working alongside Belgian grid operator Elia in the Elia Group. We work together closely in many key areas. Individual activities such as IT or purchasing are organised at the group level, which means that in these areas colleagues from Elia and 50Hertz work in a team from both Berlin and Brussels.
