Where can I work in the offshore (Baltic Sea) division?
Those responsible for the operation and maintenance of our offshore technology work from our sites at Güstrow and Greifswald. What kind of work will I do?
50Hertz is responsible for connecting the wind power generated in the Baltic Sea to the onshore power grid via undersea cables. To achieve this, we build the required infrastructure, relocate undersea cables as required, and then operate these installations. We also work on projects involving connections between power grids in the countries bordering the Baltic Sea, and now we also have our first projects in German North Sea waters. The work involved is diverse: Many steps are involved in the journey from planning to operation of installations, involving a wide range of specialists.
What skills should I already have?
In addition to construction engineers and electrical engineers, our teams also include electronics engineers, business managers, lawyers and business engineers, and many others.
