50Hertz is one of the four transmission system operators (TSO) in Germany. We transport electricity at extra-high voltage level. The company's approximately 1,600 employees achieve something that until recently seemed impossible: advancing the energy transition at high speed while maintaining a high level of supply security. Together with the Belgian electricity grid operator Elia (Brussels), we form the internationally active Elia Group. Das macht den Job für mich interessant: 50Hertz bringt die Integration erneuerbarer Energien voran. Der umfangreiche Netzausbau kann nicht ohne die Bereitstellung von IT-Infrastruktur und Netzwerken realisiert werden. Als Teil des Teams Datacom kann ich daher unmittelbar an der Energiewende mitarbeiten.
Meine Aufgaben:
- Durchführung aller Betriebsaufgaben zu Firewalling, Loadbalancing, DNS, NTP, AAA in Datacenter- und Weitverkehrsnetzen mit Cisco, Checkpoint, F5, Fortinet, Infoblox, PaloAlto-Komponenten,
- Performancemanagement, Konfigurationsmanagement, Systemüberwachung, Changeimplementierung, Wartung und Entstörung,
- Abnahmen und Betriebsübernahmen,
- Mitarbeit in Entwicklungs- und Realisierungsprojekten,
- Mitarbeit bei Typmusterprüfungen,
- Unterstützung des Network Engineering,
- Erstellung und Pflege der zentralen Betriebsdokumentation einschließlich der Betriebskonzepte,
- Teilnahme am Second-Level-Rufbereitschaftssystem.
Meine Kompetenzen:
- Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung IT oder Studium oder anderweitig nachweisbare Qualifikation,
- Nachweisbare vertiefte Kenntnisse zum Beispiel Cisco Niveau CCNP (DataCenter/Enterprise), Check Point Niveau CCSE, Palo Alto Niveau PCNSA, Fortinet NSE4,5+7, F5 (301, 303 und 304 Exam), GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst,
- Kenntnisse in der Anwendung und Optimierung von Tufin als zentrales Firewallmanagementsystem (SecureTrack, SecureChange)
- Fähigkeit zum selbständigen Arbeiten bei hoher Eigenverantwortung,
- Sprachen: Deutsch (C1), Englisch (B2).
Kein Muss, aber von Vorteil:
- Erfahrung in Python, Perl oder Shellskripting,
- Mindestens 3 Jahre Berufserfahrung im entsprechenden Umfeld,
- Erfahrung im Umfeld kritischer Infrastrukturen.

As one of the four transmission grid operators in Germany, 50Hertz is responsible for high-voltage power transmission; control at this level is decisive for the stability of the grid and to ensure a secure electricity supply in Germany and Europe. We are part of a European grid association, working closely with colleagues throughout Europe. 50Hertz is part of a European company, working alongside Belgian grid operator Elia in the Elia Group. We work together closely in many key areas. Individual activities such as IT or purchasing are organised at the group level, which means that in these areas colleagues from Elia and 50Hertz work in a team from both Berlin and Brussels.
